Unhappiness comes with corruption

Bologna

Loaded my game today. First time in about two weeks (I was away from home). So I went to load my building neighborhood to finish up a couple of lots for some contests that I was nearly done with and to start a new project, only to find that the neighborhood was corrupted. Tried a quick fix I found only, but it didn't work, and now the neighborhood's gone. Quite tragic. I'm a little unhappy. ):

Oh well.

Stepping away from the IS update...
In my last post I mentioned some dates for the Blabbity Bulletin. But after this last week and looking into the weeks to come, I have a pretty hectic schedule. And all things considered, I don't know how smoothly it'll work out to have a monthy Bulletin at this time. So I'm considering changing to bimonthly issues instead, at least for these next couple of months. Maybe this August issue that will come out in a few days, then an October issue, then December, and then maybe after that I'll consider switching back to monthly.

It all depends on how many people are willing to help out with the paper. And actually, if enough people show interest, I'm hoping that by that time we'll be back to releasing the full Blabbity instead of just the shorter Bulletins. That would be awesome.

If you're interested at helping in any way (writing, editing, taking pictures/photoshop work/etc, or the like) get in touch with me on WeAreSim, or email me at wearesim@yahoo.com.

But yeah.. so that's what's going through my mind. I'm not 100% on anything right now, just thinking ahead and considering my options.

Check out the forum! We're trying to close up a graphics contest but we're looking for some more entries. The theme is "Movies" and the winner will get some Challenge Points on the forum! Plus there's plenty to talk about. So register at the forums today, and bring some friends too! I know there's some people on the BBS looking to find a more relaxed place to go to, where they can be off topic and have some fun without the worry of being banned. And everyone over at WeAreSim loves being off topic. And we love talking about The Sims as well. I guess it's just.... the best of both worlds. P: :D

IS: Today's good and bad

Bologna

Something good around TS3.com today:
Many nice, thoughtful simmers were around the boards generously gifting others. (Not that this doesn't happen a lot every other day of the week, it's just something I was thinking about and seeing a lot of today).

Something not-so-good (some might even call it bad) around TS3.com today:
Too many generalizations. No specifics, there just seemed to be quite a few today.

Still putting it all together

Bologna

So the blog is still being organized and whatnot. However, I'm just about to start putting a banner to it in my signature at ts3.com, so I figured now would be a perfect time to get a second post out there.

This blog is available for all staff at WeAreSim to post in, so it's not just one person's point of view.

Anyways, some WAS news:
I did a little work with setting up a layout for the Blabbity Bulletin. I'll start posting dates to keep anyone who wants to try to get their article in for a certain publication aware of when articles would be needed for eventually, but for now just know that there's still plenty of time to get an article in, so stop by the forum and submit one today!

As for IS news,
I've been going generation to generation on one particular family, (don't be too impressed... I'm only on the third generation :P) but I think I might be starting to get a little bored. After this third generation starts their families I'm pretty sure I will be bored, and then I'll need to look for something new to start in the game to keep me entertained. Any ideas? I'm open for pretty much anything.

Also, I've been trying to build, but I usually end up walking away from a lot after 45 minutes, so not much progress is being made. Hopefully I can buckle down and get some serious work done.

Hmm... I may not be very good at blogging about my game... Perhaps my "I Sim" posts will have to be more so about thesims3.com. I can go on and on about that stuff... but not in the way I'm sure you're expecting. We'll get to that in another post then?

Off to make that banner and try to get the blog "out there".
It'll get more interesting. I promise.

Getting the first post out of the way.

Bologna

This blog was created because blogs around the Sims 3 community seem to be very popular. Is & Was presents you with the best of both worlds!

IS-
stands for: I Sim
Because half of this blog is about Sims and the Simming community in general. IS is the half of the blog that's all about opinions, ideas, gameplay, ts3.com, etc.

WAS-
stands for WeAreSim
Because the other half of this blog is about the latest happenings at WeAreSim, a simming community where all are welcome. WAS is the half of the blog that's all about what's going on at WeAreSim, site information, site updates, etc.

Is & Was. Welcome to it.
I want to link around as much as possible, help you get your blog link out there, and get helped in getting this blog link out there. So follow if you have a Sims blog, because I'll follow my followers.
